RESITEL® É Polyurethane Resins RE-ENTRABLE

PRODUCT INFORMATION

Characteristics:

  • High weatherability
  • Low water absorption
  • High insulation
  • High flexibility, low tear

Not recommended in applications exceeding temperatures of 80 ° C.

Packaging:

  • Available in vacuum packed pouches of 200, 400, 600, 800 and 1000 grams.
  • Also in cans and/or barrels. Always in liquid form.

Applications:

Major use in resin filling of joints, or any type of encapsulation of connectors or circuits that might have the need of being able to suffer maintenance by being able to reentry in any specific resin location without the need of extracting the whole resin that was previously applied. For this to happen, the Gel time, after mixing, is carefully chemically calibrated in accordance to the need in the application procedure.

For the splicing application, it is made necessary the use of an auxiliary component that besides supplying all the necessary material for preparing the resin filling step, up to the final wrapping step, a catalogue is also supplied which contains a table which indicates the quantity of resin needed for each type of cable. The structural finishing step of the splice is made with lead gloves, or by thermo-shrinking blankets or plastic boxes with mechanical locking devices that are available in the market.

Resitel 004 resin has proven excellent performance when applied in cables of the type CT-APL, as well as with paper lining such as type CTP-APL , plastic lining and also cables of the type FOAM SKIN, GEL, and with impregnated connectors. There has been no reported reaction between the gel nor with any of the metallic components of the components.
